Annual Gala and Auction

On September 14th, 2018 at the Donalda Club in Toronto an exceptional group of friends, family, philanthropists, volunteers, corporate sponsors and basically some amazingly generous people that helped to raise enough funds to positively support thousands of students and their families in Jamaica.
Thank you to all for attending the Helping Hands Jamaica 13th Annual Gala. We danced, drank, laughed, ate, bid and bid some more; we had a remarkable evening doing good work and having fun along the way. The rallying cry for the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation is 'Participate, Educate, Elevate' and each of our guests certainly lived that motto. We all share the belief that by providing the opportunity for an education we can eliminate the barriers to a child's success, on behalf of the Helping Hands board of Directors, we thank each of you for your participation and contribution.
Thanks for your engagement and participation at the dinner, we hope to not only see you next year, but hear from you throughout the year and we will do the same. There were a lot of highlights from the event, certainly it was moving to hear eight year old Shyan Henry's story and her mother’s perspective as well. Thanks to the Donalda Club staff for the awesome Jamaican cuisine, our generous auction donors, generous bidders, table hosts and esteemed guests - you are valued member of the Helping Hands team and we appreciate your support. Every dollar contributed makes a difference...a difference in young people’s lives. There are few things better than people gathering together with shared values to rally around an important cause, again we thank you for Participating, Educating and Elevating.
